Microsoft recently released Internet Explorer 9 beta, the upcoming version of the most popular web browser in the world. We are totally impressed with the features of Internet Explorer 9. It’s lightweight, fast and easy to use. The efficiency of the IE 9 can be improved by using a set of keyboard shortcuts. Mozilla released the beta version of  Firefox 4, the upcoming build of the popular web browser for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The Mozilla Firefox 4 has a redesigned user interface that  replaces the position of tabs to the top of the browser. There is a  new Firefox button with all the options of the browser arranged together for easy access. Firefox 4 loads quick and open web pages fast. Other features of Mozilla Firefox 4 includes  “switch to tab”, “App tab, WebM HD video support and  fix for common security vulnerabilities.

Apple yesterday launched the latest version of Safari Internet browser. The new Safari 5 is the fastest (they claim) and heaviest browser that you can get for your Windows PC or Mac. Safari uses the same webkit engine that is used in Google Chrome and other mobile web browsers. According to apple, Safari 5 is 5X faster than Chrome 5 and 2 times faster than Firefox 3.6 in processing web pages. The new Nitro engine gives 30X performance of Safari 4 in executing JavaScript. The official download link of Safari 5 is now live at Apple website. Here we have something special, a portable Safari 5 browser that you can open everywhere without installation.

Sometimes we encounter situations like  the sudden unavailability of a website that we are looking for. Websites  might get deleted or will go down high traffic or server issues. A basic method to view unavailable website is to check the Google cache file of the URL. Instant results will be obtained if the deleted website is recent. Traces of unavailable websites would also be available on other search engines like Yahoo, MSN, etc. and the internet archive.

Google recently released their new open source browser Chrome. Google Chrome is based on the Webkit engine that also powers the Safari Internet browser from Apple. The initial versions of Google chrome are reported to have a unique ID and data path that is used by Google to collect personal user information and tracking of usage of the browser. Google Chrome is available for Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.
