It has been three months since Google revealed their plans to develop an open source and cloud based operating system, Google Chrome OS. The Google Chrome OS mainly targets netbooks, and the internet enabled Smartphones. UNIX based Google Chrome OS will run on 32-bit processors and ARM CPUS that is used in mobile devices. The special feature of Google Chrome OS is that its cloud based. In a cloud environment, the user needs to be on the internet to enjoy the full benefits. Information, files, applications and all other things will reside on Google servers, and users need to be online to access them.

Seems that Google is upgrading Chrome browser versions at a faster rate than competitors like Firefox,IE and Safari . The application already entered the phase four of development by the release of Google chrome 4 . We earlier covered the release of Google Chrome 3 that added support for extensions to Chrome browser .While the stable version continues as Chrome 2 , Google Chrome 3 and and Chrome 4 are faster and offer extensive features . Changes in Google chrome version 4 are bookmark synchronization , faster JavaScript engine ,improved support for new HTML 5 tags  and bug fixes from previous versions . There is no changes in external appearance and position of controls and settings .But you will notice a faster page load and improved rendering of script intensive pages . Google is now into another step to dominate the internet and computer software industry by announcing Google chrome OS .Google chrome web browser was launched almost 9 months ago and currently they have crossed veteran browsers like Opera and Safari in market shares . Google Chrome OS is also planned as open source venture just like the Chrome browser and will be available on GP license .Google Chrome OS is an extension to Chrome browser project and it would be cloud based .That is the OS works on web and all Google web services along with other web applications will be available via internet .Like in every Google service ,speed ,user friendliness etc. will be the main concern in new OS . Cost factor and non user friendliness of Mac OS and Linux might give an extra edge to Google Chrome OS . But it depends how Google design the user interface . Google chrome OS initially aims at spreading its wings on netbook market and they are currently on talks with manufactures for pushing the OS from 2010 onwards.

Google recently released their new open source browser Chrome. Google Chrome is based on the Webkit engine that also powers the Safari Internet browser from Apple. The initial versions of Google chrome are reported to have a unique ID and data path that is used by Google to collect personal user information and tracking of usage of the browser. Google Chrome is available for Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.
