Youtube, MetaCafe, DailyMotion and all other online streaming websites in the world uses Adobe Flash technology to play web videos. The web videos uploaded to these sites are converted to FLV format before they are uploaded to streaming portals.  Also its not possible to download and play these online FLV files. However, there are some special applications that can be used to download FLV videos and play theme offline. Direct FLV player is a similar standalone Windows FLV video player compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
