Google is now into another step to dominate the internet and computer software industry by announcing Google chrome OS .Google chrome web browser was launched almost 9 months ago and currently they have crossed veteran browsers like Opera and Safari in market shares . Google Chrome OS is also planned as open source venture just like the Chrome browser and will be available on GP license .Google Chrome OS is an extension to Chrome browser project and it would be cloud based .That is the OS works on web and all Google web services along with other web applications will be available via internet .Like in every Google service ,speed ,user friendliness etc. will be the main concern in new OS . Cost factor and non user friendliness of Mac OS and Linux might give an extra edge to Google Chrome OS . But it depends how Google design the user interface . Google chrome OS initially aims at spreading its wings on netbook market and they are currently on talks with manufactures for pushing the OS from 2010 onwards.
In current scenario its not be a good competitor for Microsoft Windows . But we can expect anything from Google , and with 3-4 versions it would gain much user attraction. So called cloud computing concept is not that accepted till now . But numerous attempts are coming from different corners just like recently released Panda cloud antivirus . There are many limitations for internet powered operating systems .But its the agenda of Google to bring more people online .Naturally if people engage in internet computing ,their revenue would go high . And thats what Google plans with Chrome OS .
Google owned Android mobile OS reportedly supports netbooks . Recently few guys at Ubuntu claimed that they were able to run Android applications on Ubuntu Linux . So Google Chrome OS along with Android mobile OS would be the trend in netbook computers by the end of 2010.More specs and exact release dates are yet to be announced .
