I hope you are familiar with RAR and ZIP archive formats. If there are a lot of files in a download, usually it is archived using Winzip / WinRAR and uploaded. Archiving reduces total file size and the plus point is that we need to upload only a single file. But there is a disadvantaged related with these RAR and ZIP downloads.
Usually it’s impossible to download selected files from RAR and ZIP archives. Say you need only the serial text of a particular file that is packed along with its huge installer. In this case, you need to download the whole archive for a simple text file. You can avoid this by using a freeware software Loadscout. This software can be used to scan remote archives and downloads only the selected file.

After installation, select the tab open URL. Here you will have to enter the target ZIP / RAR archive. Now you will be able to browse through all packed files inside the archive. Select a file foe download, right click and extract. The internal download manager in Loadscout will download and save the selected files from RAR and ZIP archives. You can open Loadcout directly from internet explorer. Right click on any RAR /ZIP web page link and select open with Loadscout.
