Cyberlink has released the most modern version of its DVD and Blu-ray media player software for Windows, PowerDVD 10. The major change in new PowerDVD 10 is its ability to play 3D movie files. Latest PowerDVD can convert 2D movie files to 3D, and therefore, it can improve the quality of normal DVD movies to that of real-life videos. Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 is the only Blu-ray, DVD software player capable of playing HD videos in 3D with brilliant clarity and sound effects. PowerDVD 10 includes filters like TrueTheater™ HD for playback of standard DVD movie files in HD quality. The hardware and GPU acceleration delivers crystal clear output pixels. Another technology called TrueTheater™ 3D can convert 2D DVD movies to 3D and enhance it just like anything in real life. The 3D effect can be selected using a special button at the bottom of the player, and there is a depth slider for adjusting the effect. Both these DVD enhancements are available with PowerDVD 10 Deluxe edition.

Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 includes all sort of plugins and filters to play movie files encoded with DTS, Dolby Digital and other HD sound technologies. The software also supports 8 channels lossless HD audio output.
