Bluetooth 3.0

Bluetooth SIG ( Special Interest Group ) is set to release an updated specification for Bluetooth enabled devices . Bluetooth SIG comprises of major companies like Sony ,Nokia ,Microsoft ,Intel, IBM etc . Bluetooth 3.0 will power all SIG/other devices with improved data transfer speeds and quality of reception. Devices with Bluetooth 3.0 would be able to transfer large movie files ,music and photo libraries in few seconds . A new feature called EPC (Enhanced Power Control ) will reduce the chances of disconnections due to physical actions .Bluetooth 3.0 is expected to be operated at WiFi speeds .

Bluetooth 3.0 will make use of WiFi and Bluetooth hardware to attain this high speed of data transfer .Bluetooth will be used for device pairing and WiFi for data transfer . It will use the default data transfer mode if a WiFi hardware is not present in the device . More specifications and a list of chip manufactures supporting Bluetooth 3.0 profile will be released by Bluetooth SIG in April 21 .
