Microsoft IE was reported with a major security flaw during the last 2-3 days  . This vulnerability could be used by the hackers to get very sensitive user information such  as banking passwords and credit card data  . Experts were advising the internet explorer users to switch on to another browser till there’s a suitable fix  . IE security flaw patch is assumed to be a fix for about 2 million computers running Windows OS.

I am always a supporter of open source browser movement and personally using Firefox and Google chrome  . At the same time i know that many are  still using Internet explorer (about 60%) ,and this could be the best indication for the depth of this vulnerability . Though the studies says that market share of FF and Chrome are increasing , for many colleges , companies and internet cafes ,browser means its Internet explorer .Even now ,they may not be aware of this major security flaw in IE  .  Anyways this download would be an easy fix for all IE fans out there .

Usually , widgets in Blogger blogs are displayed in all pages .For eg: , look at the Get posts by email widget on my right side bar . It is displayed in all pages of my blog . Now if you want to display Blogger widget only in home page , you have to edit your Blogger template with the following strip (in blue) of code . Here is HTML2 is my widget id for “Get posts by Email “.There may be different ids for different widgets .
In each case , <b:if cond=’data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl’> should be added to make them fixed to the home page .

Fixed post or sticky post is post that can be attached permanently  to the top of the Blogger home page . There no actual direct solution for this , so we are applying some tricks to keep the post fixed on the Blogger home page .

First of all you need to create the post that is to be fixed in the text editing area of your Blogger blog. Now  publish the post as usual . Just after publishing , click edit and return to the text editor . You can see a  post options menu on the bottom left hand side of the window . Change the post date to a future date and publish the post again . Now this particular post will be fixed on the home page of your blog .

When we move from WordPress to Blogger, the important thing to consider is the search engine traffic. Because, in WordPress, there is a slightly deferment link structure that will 404 already indexed blog posts of the blogger blog. Disadvantages of Blogger:

No control on web hosting: You cannot install server side applications like forums, contact forms, etc. in your blog. Also there is no option to purchase dedicated IP address and other server related extras.

Go to to settings tab and select themes . Similar to the introduction of themes in orkut , some users are missing the themes tab in settings menu . This will be fixed after the global launching of the service .
