It is always a difficult task to find out the exact matching colors for Adsense ads ,based on the theme or template of the website/blog . Unless the HEX color codes are specified, it is nearly impossible for beginner to choose the background/text color that can blend with his template.

This task can be accomplished using a Firefox addon called Colorzilla. Colorzilla filler picks the desired colors from a web pages . If your desired color is not available  , there is color ,which could  be made use of .

On moving Color picker through any section of your template/theme , particular color code will appear in the near tab as shown above. Copy the color code and paste it to boxes provided near the Adsense color selector .

How to check Nofollow/Dofollow?? .This is a question often asked in webmaster and seo forums. As far as I know , commenting and participating on blogs and forums increase our backlinks and search engine potential .Though this an important seo tactic , these blogs and  should be confirmed “dofollow” to avoid wastage of time and efforts .

With out deep analysis or debugging of the source code ,you can find out a Nofollow/Dofollow website using a Firefox addon called NoDoFollow .

This Firefox addon will highlight the follow/dofollow links by blue/red colors respectively.

After install, restart Firefox for your settings to take effect .Now move on to any web page , right click anywhere and select NoDoFollow . All nofollow links will be highlighted red and all dofollow links will be highlighted by blue color .

What is nofollow?? : A link specified with nofollow tag will not have any value for that link in search engine results .Usually comment section in blogs are nofollowed to avoid comment spamming .Otherwise not specified , all other links in a website/Blog are set as dofollow links . We can set nofollow to a link by adding rel=”nofollow” ,right after the target link .

There is another manual method to check and find out a Nofollow/Dofollow blog . Just open up the source code and search for nofollow tag .

Though Firefox is the present fastest browser ,there are few customizations that can still speed up Firefox 3 . The default Firefox configurations are set for Dial up users .So if you have a broadband internet connection , you can make Firefox 3 to load multiple pages by allowing the pipelining feature . That is , multiple connections can be used to load a single page ,there by improving the browser speed.

Here’s how you can do that ;

Open a Blank window and  type about:config in the address bar and hit enter (press I promise,continue for FF3)

In the filter box search for term “network”. Now to speed up Firefox 3,change the following terms as shown below.

change network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipeliningto “true” (Double click)
change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to a suitable higher number . If you put 25 ,then 25 connections will be made to load the page .

Right click anywhere ,select new integer from context menu .Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay and click OK. Now set its value to “0″.
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on data it receives.

Now restart Firefox 3 to apply the new settings .

Firefox settings can be changed to reduce the amount the RAM it is allowed to use.For that , Go to Tools>Options>Advanced>network and set Cache to an appropriate value .Try 20MB if you have 512MB or more RAM.

There is an another configuration for reducing the RAM usage when Firefox 3 is minimized . Right-click anywhere and select new Boolean from menu. Name it as “config.trim_on_minimize” and set it to true.  When minimized ,this setting will improve your PC speed by moving operations to your hard drive.

Fasterfox addon can be used to speed up Firefox 3 by automating the above steps.

Submitting a sitemap to Google is the first thing that is to be done after starting a blog at Blogger .It gives an idea for the crawler , about all inner pages and archives of your site. There are no plugins for creating a Blogger sitemap .So we will have to use the default atom feed for submitting a Blogger sitemap to Google webmaster tools account .

Now in the dashboard , you will be asked to enter your site as shown below.

Clicking add site takes you to next step for verifying your Blogger blog.

Select add meta tag from the combo box and copy the resulting meta tag code to edit your Blogger template .

Open Blogger>Layout>Edit HTML .
To submit a Blogger sitemap to Google , they need you to verify that you are the blog owner.
Place the meta tag as shown, below the <head>
Save the template and click verify button.
From the Sitemaps tab on the left , select add site map and choose “Add general web sitemap”.

Now add Blogger sitemap as your atom feed (atom.xml) and complete the entire procedure .
